Spain clinches spot in Final Phase of Eurobasket, Bulls release television schedule
After a split record in Eurobasket's opening weekend, Spain completed its group play this week with a 3-2 record.
Spain took a 105-98 loss to former Bull Marco Belinelli and the Italian National Team on Tuesday. The loss frustrated Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic so much that he accidentally ended up taking it out on a Serbian flag that dropped in his face after the game.
I am deeply sorry about my reaction after the game. I did not realise that it was a flag let alone the serbian one (1/2)— Nikola Mirotic (@threekola) September 9, 2015
I was looking at the floor due to the tension of the game and I felt something on my face. I would never offend any symbols. (2/2)— Nikola Mirotic (@threekola) September 9, 2015
On Wednesday, Spain took a 99-73 victory over Iceland and followed that up Thursday with a tight 77-76 win over Germany. That win clinched them a spot in the Final Phase of EuroBasket.
Bulls forward/center Pau Gasol finished the Group Phase with averages of 21.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.4 blocks and a 55.6 percent field goal percentage. Meanwhile, Mirotic averaged 13.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists while shooting 59.0 percent from the field.
Spain will start the Final Phase of EuroBasket when it faces Poland Saturday at 11:30 a.m. central.

A previous version of this post incorrectly stated that the Spain game starts at 11:30 p.m. central instead of 11:30 a.m. central. The Bulls Charge apologizes for this error.
